Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic Districts Ordinance. District: McIntire Address of Property: 6 Andover Street Name of Record Owner: Kerry Rourke and Jeffrey Nicholas Description of Work Proposed: ▪ In-kind repair and/or replacement of deteriorated wood trim and clapboards on dormers and fascia. Repaint to match existing colors: Benjamin Moore Federal Gold (body) and Benjamin Moore Plymouth Beige (trim). There will be no changes in color, material, design, location or outward appearance. Non-applicable due to being in-kind repairs. ▪ In-kind replacement of clapboard on rear elevation with new cedar clapboards. Repaint to match existing body color. There will be no changes in color, material, design, location or outward appearance. Non-applicable due to being in-kind repairs. ▪ In-kind repairs to front and center chimneys: o Repoint front chimney with in-kind replacement of spalled bricks; and o Repoint lower half of center chimney and rebuild upper portion of chimney. Mortar to be type N mortar: 1/1/6 mix (Portland cement, hydrated lime and sand) to match existing color, grain size, texture and pointing technique. New brick to match existing brick as closely as possible. There will be no changes in color, material, design, location or outward appearance. Non-applicable due to being in-kind repairs. ▪ NOTE: Replacement of gutters will be reviewed during a public hearing at the Commission meeting on August 5, 2020. Upon completion of above work, please notify Historical Commission staff as final sign-off is required to document compliance with this Certificate and approved plans.
