Our roof needs to be replaced. It is currently 3 tab asphalt shingle, approximately 20+ years old. We have had
issues in the past year with shingles blowing off during storms. We had the roof inspected by JB Kidney (roofing
contractor in Salem) and they recommended immediate replacement.
JB Kidney will take down the old shingles before installing new. We would like to use asphalt shingles as
replacement. Our preference is the Slateline variety, which have been used on other homes in McIntire including
#88 Federal. We would like to do the ridgeline in copper.
Due to the orientation of our house, our roof cannot be seen from Federal Street. It can be seen from Bridge Street.
