ROOFING PROPOSAL

Dear Raquel,
The below quote includes all labor, material, fabrication, equipment, disposal, and
insurance costs.
As requested, we are quoting you on the following work:
Replace slate on the main roof:
• Working off roof ladders to replace the broken and missing slate on the roof at the above
address
• Any broken or cracked slate will be removed and replaced with a new slate, using the
same size and color as the reminder of the roof
• Slate will be supplied by Raquel by using the slates from the back of the garage for all the
slate for repairs on the main roof
• Copper fasteners will be used to fasten the new slate to the roof and a copper bib to cover
the head of the fastener
• This quote will be based off replacing 30 slates. This will cover all of the cracked and
broken slates on the roof
• All debris will be cleaned up at the end of each day, any metal removed will be recycled
at the time of removal
Cost to do this work will be ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($1,500.00) DOLLARS
Remove Chimney down to the roof line:
• Set a roof staging below the chimney being worked on
• Dismantle the chimney brick by brick until the chimney is down below the roofline
• Furnish and install new roof board sheathing to close off the hole
• New slate will be installed to the roof and will marry into the existing roof on all sides
• Bricks will be disposed of in a dumpster on site supplied by the owner Raquel Frisch
• All debris will be cleaned up at the end of each day, any metal removed will be recycled
at the time of removal
Cost to do this work will be THREE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY ($3,750.00)
DOLLARS
Reflash dormer walls:
• Set a roof staging below each dormer wall being worked on
• Remove the slate on the roof and against the dormer wall to properly reflash the walls
• New 16oz custom copper step flashings will be installed in conjunction with the slate on
the side wall of each dormer
• Any broken or cracked slate will be replaced at this time
• All debris will be cleaned up at the end of each day, any metal removed will be recycled
at the time of removal
Cost to do this work will be ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY ($1,370.00)
DOLLARS per dormer wall. 4 total dormer walls will be $5,840.00
Replace flat roof in the back of the house:
• Strip off the existing tin roof down to the roof boards in the back of the house at the
above address
• Furnish and install new .060 EPDM rubber membrane roof over mechanically fastened
Insulation board
• Rubber membrane will be fully adhered to new insulation board
• Terminate the wall with rubber membrane turning up one foot behind the siding
• Terminate the drainage side with new custom copper edge cleat metal
• Corners will be double flashed with proper coverage
• All flashing and seams will be done to the manufacturer’s specifications
• Fabricate and install a door pan where the door meets the flat roof. The door will have
to be pulled by a carpenter and reinstalled after the pan is completed
• Dispose of debris each day and recycle all material
Cost to do this roof work will be THREE THOUSAND ($3,000.00) DOLLARS
Replace bay window roof on the driveway side of the house:
• Strip off the existing tin roof down to the roof boards on the bay window
• Furnish and install new .060 EPDM rubber membrane roof over mechanically fastened
Insulation board
• Rubber membrane will be fully adhered to new insulation board
• Terminate the wall with rubber membrane turning up one foot behind the siding
• Terminate the drainage side with new custom copper edge cleat metal
• Corners will be double flashed with proper coverage
• All flashing and seams will be done to the manufacturer’s specifications
• Dispose of debris each day and recycle all material
Cost to do this roof work will be ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FOURTY ($1,440.00)

Replace Bump-out roof on the driveway side of the house:
• Strip off the existing tin roof down to the roof boards on the bump out roof on the
driveway side of the house at the above address
• Furnish and install new .060 EPDM rubber membrane roof over mechanically fastened
Insulation board
• Rubber membrane will be fully adhered to new insulation board
• Terminate the wall with rubber membrane turning up one foot behind the siding
• Terminate the drainage side with new custom copper edge cleat metal
• Corners will be double flashed with proper coverage
• All flashing and seams will be done to the manufacturer’s specifications
• Dispose of debris each day and recycle all material
Cost to do this roof work will be TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED ($2,400.00)

Replace existing skylight with new velux CO4 skylight on the driveway side of the house:
• Set a roof stage below the existing skylight to replace the skylight with a new Velux
CO4 venting skylight
• Remove the slate on 3 sides of the skylight
• Remove and dispose of existing skylight
• Furnish and install new Velux CO4 venting skylight
• Re-install the slate that was removed on all sides of the skylight.
• New velux flashing kit will be used to properly flash the skylight to the roof
• Dispose of debris each day and recycle all material
Cost to do this roof work will be ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED ($1,600.00) DOLLARS
Furnish and install new velux CO4 skylight on the driveway side of the house:
• Set a roof stage below the new location of the new skylight
• Remove the slate in the area that the new skylight will be located
• Cut a hole in the roof to fit the exact location of the new skylight
• Furnish and install new Velux CO4 venting skylight
• New framing wood will be used to frame out the hole so the skylight. The new skylight
will be fastened to new framing wood
• Re-install the slate that was removed on all sides of the skylight.
• New velux flashing kit will be used to properly flash the skylight to the roof
• This work includes the installation of the new skylight and properly flashing the new
skylight to the roof. All work to finish off the inside is not included in this proposal and
will have to be done by interior workers
• Dispose of debris each day and recycle all material
Cost to do this roof work will be TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY ($2,650.00)
DOLLARS
New copper roof to the front door way of the house:
• Set a roof stage below the roof in the front of the house
• A carpenter will need to remove all siding and corner boards prior to the new copper
roof being installed. All crown molding will need to be replaced or re-secured prior to
any roof installation
• Remove the existing tin roof and replace with new flat lock copper panels
• Copper roofing will turn up each wall a minimum of 6”
• All seams and wall laps will be thoroughly soldered in place
• Dispose of debris each day and recycle all material
Cost to do this roof work will be THREE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY ($3,650.00)
DOLLARS
Clean up debris upon completion of the work and furnish workmen’s compensation and public
liability insurance to protect the owner in case of an accident while work is in progress.
