Please type or print clearly.Attach additional sheets, as necessary.
We would like to install a historic-style grante post at the northwest front corner of the Daniel Bray House on
Brown Street as an addition to previously-approved landscape work on Brown Street. The purpose of the post will
be to protect the corner of the building from damage from winter snow removal equipment. The corner was badly
damaged in winter of 2017-18,being hit twice by equipment. The proposed design is a plain,rock-faced granite
post, four feet tall and eight inches in section, made from salvaged historic Cape Ann granite. This post will be
based on others in the city of Salem, including one on Federal Street(see photos in the attached supporting
materials.)
