Included Surfaces: Soffit/eaves, window frames, door frames, wood fascia/trim, main entry door,
entryway pillars/ceiling.
Excluded Surfaces: Stained side entry, rear deck, individual entry doors.

Surface Cleaning
We will wash aluminum siding and all surfaces included in the scope of work This process
removes mildew, algae and other contaminants from the substrate.
Set Up
Protect all adjacent surfaces with drop cloths. Remove downspouts and shutters, if applicable.
Cover open windows to prevent dust intrusion from prep process.
Ladders and materials will be stored on-site in the location of your choosing.
Surface Prep
Inspect all surface for paint failure. Remove all loose/peeling paint via manual scraping. Hand sand
all scraped areas to minimize surface variations and remove weathered wood fibers.
Priming
Prime all bare wood with oil-based primer.
Caulking
Caulk all gaps as needed to prevent water leaks. Premium 40-yr caulking will be applied after
priming to ensure maximum bond.
Finish Coat, Trim, 2 coats
Apply two (2) coats of paint to trim.
Doors, Entry
Mask door hardware. Apply two (2) coats of paint to exterior face of entry doors.
Break Down
Perform any touch-ups discovered during final project walk-around. Reinstall Shutters in their

original location using existing hardware. Reinstall downspouts in their original location.
Remove all equipment from jobsite at end of project. All job-related debris will be disposed of by
Sherwood Painting. Remaining custom paints/stains will be left with customer.
Job Site Clean Up
Throughout the project and upon completion we will maintain a clean work site. We never forget
that we are guests in your home.
Paint chips and job related debris will be cleaned daily. Rubbish will be removed frequently and/or
upon completion depending upon project duration..
Warranty, 3 year
Sherwood Painting guarantees that your home will not blister, flake or peel for a period of three (3)
years of completion date, pending contract having been paid in full. Incomplete or significantly
delayed payment voids all stated or implied warranty.
Exclusions: Wallk-on surfaces, normal wear and tear, animal damage, tannin stains, rust stains
from existing fasteners, storm damage. Pre-existing intercoat adhesion issues and/or 'mill glazing'.
Moisture related failure cause by rotting wood, structural leaks or immersion.

Carpentry
Description
Repairs
Remove gutters from Front and LH side (from street corner to rear of bay window only) to facilitate soffit repairs.
Place in out of way location for removal by gutter company.
Replace rotted fascia boards behind gutter with pre-primed trim boards, using stainless steel nails.
This quote is for boards with readily visible damage at time of quote. Should additional work be discovered upon
removal of gutter, we will identify and quote for approval prior to initiating repairs.
Options
Description Total
Replace pillar bases and top molding.
Replace separating post base trim and upper molding on two (2) pillars on front entry. Premium
pine trim boards and moldings will be used. Fasten with stainless steel nails.

Work will NOT be scheduled until the initial deposit has been received. A signed contract without a deposit does not
guarantee a spot on our schedule, which is filled on First Come, First Served basis.
Changes to the Scope of Work will effect project costs. All additions/deletions to this estimate require a written
Change Order that has been approved by the Client. Change Order costs are due in full at time of next
deposit/progress payment.
Payment Terms
25% of total due at time of acceptance to initiate project scheduling. 25% of total due on first day of project 25% of
total due at end of preparation/priming. Balance due within seven (7) days of completion. Failure to adhere to this
payment schedule may result in work stoppage and/or project delays.

Invoicing & Payment. A Final Invoice, showing total due less deposits paid, will be issued to Client upon completion
of the Work. Client shall pay invoice within 7 days of Client's receipt of the invoice. Client shall also pay a late charge
of 1-1/2% per month on all balances unpaid 30 days after the invoice date.
Acceptance of Proposal
The above prices, specifications and conditions are satisfactory and are hereby accepted. Sherwood Painting
Services, Inc is authorized to do the work as specified. Payment will be made as outlined above.
Per Massachusetts law, I understand that I can withdraw from this contract within 3 days of signing by supplying
written notice of my intent. Cancellations after 3 days may result in loss of deposit, at the sole discretion of
Sherwood Painting Services, Inc.
