Dear Homeowner
A required inspection was conducted on Friday April 9, 2021. During the inspection it was
confirmed that there was a finished basement with a kitchen and NO EMERGENCY EGRESS
WINDOWS.Bedrooms are not allowed to be used in the finished basement space as it is a
violation of 780 CMR section 310.1. This is a single family residence in an RI neighborhood
thus not allowing the basement to be used as a second legal unit.
