Dear Trustees,
Salem Fire responded for a second Fire incident at your property. I was asked to look at the
structures and use on the property. I visited yesterday and found a tree company , an illegal
tented structure, several vehicles and an individual living in a trailer. The tree contractor would
be considered a contractor yard and is not allowed in a B-2 zoned parcel . The tent structure has
no permits and constitutes a Building Code violation.
You are directed to cease and desist the use of the property immediately. You are further directed
to remove the vehicles, tent structure containers and any other associated items relating to the
Contractor use. . I am enclosing two citations. You will have 30 days to correct the violations at
this property before daily fines take effect.
You have the right to appeal my Zoning decision to the Salem zoning Board of Appeals and the
Building code matter to the Board of Buildings, Regulations and Standards in Boston.
