Dear Mayor Driscoll:
Edge Envirommental LLC (EDGE) has prepared this letter on behalf of 116 Bennington Street Realty Trust.
This letter meets the requirements of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan 310 CMR 40.0000, Section
40.1403(3)Minimum Public Involvement Activities in Response Actions.
Due to past uses, metals, polyaromatic hydrocarbons, asbestos and other contaminants were released to soil
requiring notification to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) from 1989
through 2016 at the above-referenced property. A Release Abatement Measure Plan is being submitted to the
MassDEP for the removal of the former Finishing Building floor and foundation, and to Cap impacted soil,
within the former Finishing Building foundation footprint. Please note that workers will be onsite wearing
respirators during execution of this plan. Future remedial response actions will be completed, concurrent with
the development of the Site, so that a Condition of No Significant Risk can be achieved for future use of the
Site.
