Dear Trustee,
Pursuant to the Thursday ,August 27,2020 Inspection, some serious violations were noted. Most
seriously, the rear exit door for the first floor left apartment was nailed shut. This is a serious
life safety violation( Section 10, egresses) in the State Building Code. The exterior porches
,front rear, are in need of an evaluation by a licensed , qualified individual with a copy of the
assessment to be forwarded to this office . The first floor left toilet is leaking sewerage into the
basement and a hot water heater had just been installed illegally(which is addressed by separate
violations and letter). The first floor left apartment had almost every window broken. The
Building envelope is compromised in several locations, allowing water infiltration. State Bld
Code 780 CMR section 110.
You are directed to hire qualified , licensed individuals to secure necessary permits to begin
repairs on this property. Failure to do so will result in Municipal Code tickets and further
enforcement actions.
If you feel you are aggrieved by this order, your Appeal is to the Board of Buildings, Regulations
and Standards in Boston.
