UTILITY REQUIREMENTS: COORDINATE WITH MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL WORK FOR SHUTTING OFF, DISCONNECTING,REMOVING, AND SEALING OR CAPPING UTILITY SERVICES. DO NOT START SELECTIVE DEMOLITION WORK UNTIL UTILITY DISCONNECTING AND SEALING HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND VERIFIED IN WRITING.9. ERECT TEMPORARY PROTECTION, SUCH AS WALKS, FENCES, RAILINGS, CANOPIES, AND COVERED PASSAGEWAYS, WHERE REQUIRED BY AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.10. PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SHORING, BRACING, OR STRUCTURAL SUPPORT TO PRESERVE STABILITY AND PREVENT MOVEMENT, SETTLEMENT, OR COLLAPSE OF BUILDING TO BE SELECTIVELY DEMOLISHED.11. ALL DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES WILL BE PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS, INCLUDING MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (MADEP) REGULATIONS FOR SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT, HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT, AND AIR QUALITY CONTROL.12. CUT OR DRILL FROM THE EXPOSED OR FINISHED SIDE INTO CONCEALED SURFACES TO AVOID MARRING EXISTING FINISHED SURFACES.13. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SHORING, BRACING, OR STRUCTURAL SUPPORT TO PRESERVE STABILITY AND PREVENT MOVEMENT, SETTLEMENT, OR COLLAPSE OF BUILDING TO BE SELECTIVELY DEMOLISHED.14. DO NOT USE CUTTING TORCHES UNTIL WORK AREA IS CLEARED OF FLAMMABLE MATERIALS. AT CONCEALED SPACES, SUCH AS DUCT AND PIPE INTERIORS, VERIFY CONDITION AND CONTENTS OF HIDDEN SPACE BEFORE STARTING FLAME CUTTING OPERATIONS. MAINTAIN PORTABLE FIRE SUPPRESSION DEVICES DURING FLAME CUTTING OPERATIONS.15. REMOVE DECAYED, VERMIN INFESTED, OR OTHERWISE DANGEROUS OR UNSUITABLE MATERIALS AND PROMPTLY DISPOSE OF OFF-SITE.16. PROMPTLY DISPOSE OF DEMOLISHED MATERIALS. DO NOT ALLOW DEMOLISHED MATERIALS TO ACCUMULATE ON-SITE.17. DO NOT BURN DEMOLISHED MATERIALS.18.
