D)ANCHORS INTO MASONRY SHALL HAVE A SCREEN INSERT AS SPECIFIED BY THE ANCHOR MANUFACTURER.
E)ALL INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER MUST BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED.
9. EXPANSION BOLTS:
A)EXPANSION BOLTS SHALL BE "HILTI- KWIK BOLT TZ" FASTENERS UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON THE DRAWINGS.
SIZE OF ANCHORS SHALL BE AS SPECIFIED ON THE DRAWINGS.
B)HOLES TO BE DRILLED FOR THE ANCHORS SHALL BE OF THE DIAMETER SPECIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER FOR
THAT SPECIFIC ANCHOR, AND THE EMBEDMENT DEPTH SHALL BE AS NOTED ON THESE DRAWINGS. IF
EMBEDMENT IS NOT NOTED, THE MAXIMUM DEPTH SPECIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER FOR THAT ANCHOR SHALL
BE USED. NOTIFY ENGINEER OF MISSING EMBEDMENT INFORMATION PRIOR TO IMPLEMENTATION.
C)HOLES SHALL BE CLEANED THOROUGHLY BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE ANCHOR EMBEDMENT.
D)ALL INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER MUST BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED.
E)DO NOT CUT OR DAMAGE EXISTING EMBEDDED CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT DURING INSTALLATION WITHOUT
PRIOR APPROVAL FROM THE ENGINEER.
10. TEMPORARY SHORING AND BRACING:
A)THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL TEMPORARY SHORING AND BRACING NECESSARY TO PROTECT
THE STRUCTURE FROM DAMAGE DURING THE WORK. ALL SHORING AND BRACING SHALL BE DESIGNED AND
INSTALLED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL EXPERIENCED WITH THIS SPECIFIC TYPE OF WORK.
B)ALL SHORING SHALL BE FOUNDED ON STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS CAPABLE OF SUPPORTING THE LOAD. RESHORE
TO LOWER LEVELS AS REQUIRED.
C)PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY TEMPORARY BRACING TO HOLD STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS IN POSITION UNTIL
PERMANENT BRACES AND/ OR SHEATHING ARE INSTALLED.
11. MISCELLANEOUS:
A)THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DETAILS AND DIMENSIONS BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.
NOTIFY ENGINEER OF ANY DISCREPANCIES.
B)ALL WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH THE CURRENT EDITION OF THE MASSACHUSETTS STATE BUILDING CODE, AND
ANY APPLICABLE LOCAL CODES.
C)THE STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS SHALL NOT BE SCALED TO OBTAIN DIMENSIONS, OFFSETS, SPACINGS, ETC. FOR
ANY STRUCTURAL FRAMING MEMBERS, FOUNDATION WALLS, ETC. WRITTEN DIMENSIONS ON THE STRUCTURAL
AND ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS SHALL BE USED. IF A CONFLICT OR DISCREPANCY IS FOUND BETWEEN WRITTEN
DIMENSIONS ON ARCHITECTURAL AND STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT A WRITTEN
"REQUEST FOR INFORMATION" TO THE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.
D)ALL MATERIAL, PRODUCT AND COMPONENT SUBSTITUTIONS SHALL BE PRE-APPROVED BY DAIGLE ENGINEERS,
INC. AND MUST HAVE EQUAL PROPERTIES AND LOAD CARRYING CAPACITIES AS DOCUMENTED IN THE
MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS.
