Dear Trustee,
An Inspection of your property was conducted on January 9, 2020 by Health, Fire
and Building Inspectors. The inspection revealed violations that need to be corrected
immediately. In the basement there is evidence that the space is being used as bedrooms.
This is not allowed as it is not a habitable space. There is no emergency escape or rescue window
which is a violation of CMR 780 sec. 1030.1 There are no Smoke or Carbon Monoxide Detectors
violation of CMR 780 Sec 907.2.11. Clearance of two feet or more must be around all heating
appliances and all combustible materials must be removed. The first floor has no Smoke or
Carbon Monoxide detectors violation of CMR 780 907.2.11.
You are directed to correct all the violations immediately.
Failure to comply will result in municipal code tickets and further enforcement actions.
Your appeal is to the Board of Buildings, Regulations and Standards in Boston.
