Dear Homeowner,
An Inspection of your property on June 25, 2019 confirmed a temporary structure along with
unregistered vehicles. This is a violation of the Salem Zoning Ordinance 3.2.4 and also the
Mass. State Building Code 780 C.M.R. Section 108.1 On September 6, 2019 per your request a
copy of the IBC Building Code and the City of Salem Ordinance regarding your temporary
structure located at the above property was emailed to you. On November 7, 2019 you were
notified of your current violation and directed to remove the structure. As of this date you are not
compliant.
You are directed to remove the temporary structure/carport within 10 days of receipt
of this notification.
Failure to comply will result in municipal code tickets and further enforcement actions.
If you wish to appeal the zoning issue, your appeal is to the Salem Zoning Board of Appeals
and the Building Code Sections to the Board of Buildings, Regulations and Standards in Boston.
