1926-PLANNING BOARD A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held at City
Hall on Monday, December 20, 1926, at 7.45 o 'clock P. M. All.
the members were present except Mr. Webber .,and Mr. Gray. The
Chairman presided.
Mr. Pitman offered -the following suggestions for problems
to study during the year 1927 :
Extending and Widening Streets
Sewall Street, Norman Street, Central Street, Essex Street
Specialist - to make recommendations to City Council
Proposed Park opposite St. Mary's Church
Preservation of Antiquities
By zoning (voluntary)
By organization
Hawthorne 's birthplace; Witch House; Richard Derby House
Waterfront Proposition
Derby Wharf
Filling. Collins Cove and Palmers Cove
Waterfront boulevard

question of Joining Metropolitan Planning Board
On motion of Mr. wiswall, it was voted to request the Mayor
for an appropriation for the making of a study of the central
part of. the city with reference to the solution of the traffic
problem.
The Board adjourned at 9.10 o'-clock P. M.
