Boston Burger Company 133 Washington Street Salem, MA 01970 978.414.5910 Salem Redevelopment Authority Outdoor Cafe Permit Proposal Letter of Intent To the Salem Redevelopment Authority, Boston Burger Company in Salem would like to submit a proposal for the permission to re-open our outdoor cafe at the rear of our building located at 133 Washington Street.The proposed outdoor cafe would be accessed from the rear exit of our establishment and open to walkways facing north and east to historic Salem and Town Hall.The cafe would expand our seating and offer a unique dining experience at an easily accessible and scenic area in downtown Salem. The dimensions of the cafe measure 20 by 20 feet or 400 square feet.Our intention is to offer 12 seats at 4 tables;2 tables will seat 2 guests each and 2 tables will seat up to 4 guests each.The tables would be covered by 8 foot patio umbrellas to provide a comfortable dining experience.We would like to further enhance the outdoor experience with garden boxes at each corner of the outdoor cafe.The garden boxes will have stable wheels and can be easily maneuvered.The proposed seating is weather resistant and can be secured at the end of each night by stacking and locking them to the rear of the building. Umbrellas can be stored indoors overnight.All dishes and garbage will be taken indoors at the time of service.
