Dear Mr . Marshall :
This office has received a complaint of a shed having
been built at the above mentioned property and being
located only three ( 3 ) feet from the property line .
This office conducted an inspection on April 10 , 1997
of the above complaint and found that no permit had been
applied for on the existing shed.
The City of Salem Zoning Ordinance requires that
sheds not be located closer then five ( 5 ) feet to the
property line , and can not be located in any front or side
yards , and can only be 120 square feet in size . A
building permit is also required in order to build a shed.
Please contact this office upon receipt of this
letter to enable a satisfactory and legal solution to this
matter.
