Due to a complaint received through the Neighborhood Improvement
Committee hot line, I conducted an inspection of the above mentioned property
and found the following violations:
1. Remove trash from underneath rear porch, trash is blocking the
egress from basement.
2. Replace rotted boards at porch deck.
3. Repair rails at rear porch to meet State Building Code.
4. Remove gas grill from porch. Grill must remain at ground level.
5. Replace siding were new windows have been installed.
6. Remove or replace all gutters and downspouts.
Please notify this department within fifteen ( 15) days upon receipt of
this letter as to your course of action to rectify these violations. Failure
to do so will result in legal action being taken against you.

Due to a complaint received through the Neighborhood Improvement
Committee hot line, I conducted an inspection of the above mentioned property
and found the following violations:
1. Remove trash from underneath rear porch, trash is blocking the
egress from basement.
2. Replace rotted boards at porch deck.
3. Repair rails at rear porch to meet State Building Code.
4. Remove gas grill from porch. Grill must remain at ground level.
5. Replace siding were new windows have been installed.
6. Remove or replace all gutters and downspouts.

This is in response to your letter of May 13, to Edward E.
Cody, 22 Winthrop Street, Salem. (copy attached)
The property is now owned by his daughter, Judy Cody as
Edward E. Cody is deceased.
I hold a mortgage on this property given by Judy Cody so I
do have an interest in getting the property cleaned up and re-
paired . Judy has arranged with me to get this work done .
We have completed some, of the work. The rear steps have been
repaired and the rubbish taken to the disposal area. The soffits
fascia, and rakes have been covered with aluminum. We plan to
install new aluminum gutters .
I have a siding man comming tomorrow morning to repair the
siding around the second floor windows on the left side of the
house.
We plan to have all exterior work done by July 2� , 1996.
I am hoping that this letter will suffice in liew of going
to court on this Thursday.
