EAST REGIMENT SIGN APPLICATION TO DRB 6/17/19 Design Review Board 120 Washington Street, 3p Floor Salem, MA 01970 Scott Perry and Joshua Engdahl Owner/Managers East Regiment Beer Company 30 Church St. Salem, MA 01970 Dear Sir or Mam, Due to a high number of complaints that our business is difficult to locate from Church St.,The East Regiment Beer Company Respectfully requests permission to erect two signs on our brewery and taproom located at 30 Church St.Salem, MA. One sign will be mounted at a right angle as to be two sided and will be visible to street and foot traffic on Church St.The second will be an A frame sign sitting outside the front entrance under the archway, 1/3 or which will display our logo and the other 2/3 of the sign will be a chalkboard and will advertise specials and events. The signs will be made of PVC and metal.The right angle sign will have lights on the mounting arm that will light the sign at night.The font we are using is called Old Style and will be roughly 1.6 inches in height and will run 45 inches along the bottom of the sign.The mounting arm is decorative rod iron and will be bolted to the brick wall by a series of% inch steel mounting brackets that are welded to the mounting arm.The sign will be hung by a professional sign company (Peabody Sign).The bottom of the sign will be 10-12 feet above grade and will not extend more than 60 inches from the buildings outer wall.The other existing signage located on the Church St.Side of the building is for Hive and Forge.
