Currently, you are working to get the contractor that you had lined up for this work to move this forward on his schedule. Or, if he cannot get here to start in the next 48 hours, the City will bring in a Contractor to do this work, and you will be billed for this service by this Contractor. If necessary a lien will be placed against your property by the City to recover this expense. As we have this short delay in the demolition process, it is in all of our best interests if you would take this time to contract a pest control professional to remediate any pest problems that might arise from the demolition of this structure. Please remember that any contractor used for this purpose must be a Massachusetts Licensed Construction Supervisor, and that a demolition permit is required from this office.
