The work is being conducted for the National Park Service. Because we must workduring low tide and the time frame for the project is very short, we would like to be able to work on Saturdays. Our work requires minimal use of a small backhoe which will dig small trenches. After several hours of hand excavation in the trenches by the archaeologists, the backhoe will refill the trenches. Thus, the noise during the day will be minimal. We would like to request your permission to work on the next two Saturdays and will take all necessary steps to minimize noise in the area.
