Salem, MA 01970 Attn: Michael Lutrzykowski Dear Mr. Lutrzykowski Per your request, we are submitting this letter regarding the existing tenant separation wall at the Starbucks space located at 211 Washington Street Salem, MA. The tenant separation wall between Starbucks and the adjacent tenant space is an existing separation wall that remains almost entirely concealed from view. The construction documents for the Starbucks renovation call for leaving the existing tenant separation wall intact. An existing furring wall (independent of the separation wall), is present on the Starbuck's side of the separation wall and has been utilized for finishes and running utilities. During the course of work - penetrations and openings where made to the furring wall to allow for installation of new piping and utilities, but no penetrations were made to the existing separation wall. Penetrations to the furring wall were patched and repaired per the construction documents. Per your request, we reviewed above ceiling and exposed to view portions of the separation wall while on site 3/19. We could find no openings or penetrations in the existing separation wall. Based upon our visual inspection, we believe the existing tenant separation wall to be intact, and that the current Starbucks project has had no adverse impact on its integrity.
