(5), Noise enumerated' of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Salem that EMR Drywall, Inc. a variance of construction work hours. Said hours shall go into effect starting Monday, November 14, 2016 and shall expire on Monday, November 21, 2016,but not include Saturdays, Sundays or holidays. Hours of construction work shall begin at 5:00 p.m. and cease at 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Saturdays. Saturday hours of construction shall begin at 8:00 a.m. and cease at 5:00 p.m. As per Salem City Ordinance no work shall be permitted on Sundays at any time or on Friday, November 11, 2016 (Veteran's Day). No special variances for any work herein shall be granted for work on Sundays or holidays without prior approval of the City Council. The work to be performed is the saw cutting the old bank vault thirteen (13") inch concrete slab for removal. This letter is for permission thru this office. The purpose of this request is to remove one of the banks vaults which involves saw cutting the concrete which is 13" thick into managable size pieces. The cutting contractor anticipates the task to 1 take 7 shifts. We plan to start on Saturday during the day, then work Monday thru Friday nights 5:00 k t PM till Midnight. Then if not complete we plan to finish on Saturday day shift. A generator may have to be used as the saw requires 480 volts. Please call with questions, or if you want to meet on site to discuss let me know. If I receive positive feedback I will schedule the crews.
