Dear Mayor Usovicz .
I am writing to you for assistance in resolving what the 56 Peabody Street Condo
Association considers to be a problem. There is an abandoned building at the
Intersection of Congress, Peabody, and Ward streets that is in disrepair. The parking
lot that the condo association owns, abuts the rear of this building. The retaining wall of
the building has fallen apart and debris falls ci ito the parking tot. In addition the
property is an overall eyesore. There are pipes and wires hanging from the building as
well as overgrown weeds all around the property.
Is this property owned by the city of Salem? If it is, can you have this cleaned up?
If the property is owned by an individual, could you provide the association with some
assistance as to the proper way to have this problem resolved?
You can reach me at my home or office phones which I have provided or write to my
home address.
