Adeline Laguerre 22 Ward Street Salem, MA 01970 RE: 22 Ward Street Dear Ms. Laguerre: Please be advised that your property located at 22 Ward Street, Salem, is presently unoccupied, unsecured and in its severely fire damaged condition poses a hazard to the public safety and welfare. It is the opinion of this office, the City Engineer, Fire Marshal and Health Department that the building is damaged beyond fifty (50) percent of its replacement cost and cannot be reconstructed except in conformity with the current Zoning Ordinance. Please contact me within seven (7) days of receipt of this letter to advise me of your plans. Failure to respond will leave me with no alternative but to recommend to the City Council that the building be declared a hazard and it be ordered demolished. City Solicitor City of Salem RE: 22 Ward Street Dear Mr. O'Brien: As per the enclosed Council Order this office has attended to the demolition of the fire damaged property located at the above referenced property. The cost of securing the property from entry prior to the demolition was two hundred seventy five dollars ($275.00) and the cost of the demolition was twelve thousand nine hundred dollars ($12,900) for a total of thirteen thousand one hundred seventy five dollars ($13,975) .
