RE: 22 Ward Street
Dear Ms. Laguerre:
Please be advised that your property located at 22 Ward Street,
Salem, is presently unoccupied, unsecured and in its severely fire
damaged condition poses a hazard to the public safety and welfare.
It is the opinion of this office, the City Engineer, Fire Marshal
and Health Department that the building is damaged beyond fifty (50)
percent of its replacement cost and cannot be reconstructed except in
conformity with the current Zoning Ordinance.
Please contact me within seven (7) days of receipt of this
letter to advise me of your plans. Failure to respond will leave
me with no alternative but to recommend to the City Council that the
building be declared a hazard and it be ordered demolished. This will
result in a lein being placed on the property for the cost of said
demolition.
Sincerely,
