Fire retardant studding, blocking, plywood sheathing and rough sawn boarding is specified and shown on the plans for the new canopy fascia construction of the Supermarket. Instead, fire treating for the rough sawn boarding only will be required. The plywood under the boarding and under the asbestos board and studding and blocking on the Supermarket canopy will not require fire treatment. On the small adjacent stores (alter- nate price) no changes are being made in specifications and plans. At concrete they shall be expansion bolts extending into the concrete at least 2" and on the wood side they shall be through bolts with nut, washer and lock washer except where they hit joists in which case use 2;" x ;" wood screw. Use hardened aluminum or stainless steel screws and bolts.
