Weatherly Drive 6-flex: Brick is completed on front and on stoop. Steps and railings to be done. Weeps are in place at base of wall and over window lintels . Flashing is trimmed flush with brick. 3 . Carpentry exterior: Windows are installed and to be caulked. One set of dining room windows in rear to be installed. Tyvec is in place at front and rear but not on sides . 4 . Carpentry - interior: Temporary barricades and railings are in place . Bridging to be completed around first floor sprinkler and ductwork in tight rear living room. / 5 . Roofing of center portion is being installed; Ballastrades are in place and flashed. 6 . Ductwork in insulated on top floor. Sprinkler is in process . 7 . America Way Rear 6 plex: First floor framing is in process . Lower level walls are erected. Pressure treated sills are in place when in contact with concrete. Temporary interior heat is in place in order to pour basement concrete slab. Half of the slab should be poured tomorrow. The rear wood walls on lower level are in place and window opening are covered in plastic. 2. #20 Weatherly Drive: Interior work is completed. Models are completed and shown by appointment. Sprinkler syc_tem test was successful. 3. Duplex garage: Reinforcing is in place for foundation walls. End walls have double faced reinforcing. The retaining wall parallel to Weatherly Drive has a single layer in both directions. The second layer will be added after the form work has begun erection. 4. Site work: Frost is beginning to set in . Wood temporary stairs with rails are in place to 34 America Way. Masonry work on front steps will be completed in spring. The architect pointed out two locations where the solid blocking in the middle of the living room span needed to be replaced because the blocking was short by 1/4" due to a nail obstruction. All sills on lower lever are pressure treated. Some areas of floor will received high strength non shrink grout to make level. 2. #20 Weatherly Drive: Interior punchlist work is being completed in halls. Unit number 5 is being completed for occupancy at the end of this month. 3. Duplex garage: All exterior 10" walls are stripped. One precast plank is in place. Another is on the site. Plastic leveling strips are in place to prevent spawling of edges. The architect discussed waterproofing the con- crete between the top garages and those on the bottom. The contractor will waterproof the finish topping course and caulk at edges as needed. 4. Gable ends of building are being clapboarded. Drywall is 90% done. Apartment heat pumps are providing the heat. Read Decks are complete. Brick work and stone treads on stairs is complete. Electrician is hanging fixtures between garages. additional landscaping was discussed where there are 4 garage doors in a row. Charles Quigley questioned the pitch on the flat roofs. The EPDM roof by Carlisle is reported to be unaffected by standing water. Future roofs will be pitched more steeply to prevent ice and snow build up. 5. The architect requested a list of the subcontractors to be used on the job. The form sub contractor has not been identified yet. Carlisle has revised their corner detail to replace the 45 degree cant strip with a 6 inch rubber strip to prevent freezing and leaking. Two layers of half inch roofing board is installed with alternating seam patterns . The roofing will run up the vertical wall under the wood cornice. The architect questioned ventilating those sides of the roof where there is another roof nearby. (i .e. Within 4 feet vertical distance. ) Care should be taken to avoid having wind driven snow blow into the vents . 2 . Windows will not be put in until the roof is tight so as not to accumulate moisture in the wall cavities. 3 . Exterior brick stoops are being laid up. Weather is excellent for this work. 4. Site Drawings are to be prepared for an additional two buildings . 5 . The extra space on the top floor rear landing will not be part of the living room.
