Dear Mr, Munroe:
This is a complaint regarding: William LeDuc of ,48 Tremont St., Salem; MA
Mr. LeDuc's property abutt's my property on 27 Japonica St. My complaint is that Mr.
LeDuc has erected a shed approximately 16' x 12' within 18" of my property line.
This shed has been up for approximately 18 months and despite attempts on my part, Mr.
LeDuc will not discuss any zoning restrictions or my rights that I have tried to bring to
his attention.
Mr. LeDuc has set up a workshop in this shed, running electricity to it. He also has a
woodstove which I consider a fire hazard as the shed is built under a big maple tree and
the chimney is directly under the branches of the tree. I have also seen raccoons
emerging from under the shed which could pose a health and safety issue to the
neighborhood.
All attempts to discuss these issues with Mr. LeDuc have fallen on deaf ears and
produced no satisfaction whatsoever. Since I feel that Mr. LeDuc has violated city zoning
laws by building this shed too close to my property, I am requesting this matter be
investigated as soon as possible.

Dear Mr. LeDuc:
Due to complaints received at this office regarding the above referenced
property, an inspection was made. The findings are as follow:
1) . Construction of a deck without a permit.
2) . Construction of a shed type structure without a permit.
This is to notify you this is a violation of the Massachusetts State
Building Code Section 113. (application for permit) .
Please contact this office within seven (7) days upon receipt of this
letter. Failure to do so will result in further legal action being taken.

Dear Mr. LeDuc:
It has been brought to the attention of this department that you
are accelerating the use of your property as it relates to Will-Dot
Express Co.
Please be aware that a visual inspection of 48 Tremont Street by
me on 7-6-82 revealed the existence of at least 3 trucks bearing the
name Will-Dot Express, one of them a huge 18 wheel semi trailer unit.
The Salem Zoning Ordinance stipulates that any non-conforming
use shall not be enlarged, increased, or extended.
The parking of semi trailer trucks on the streets is also prohi-
bited. The weight of the truck appears to be affecting the retaining
wall. Please *take the action that will insure compliance with the
codes and ordinances.
