148 Washington Street (The Merchant): Discussion and vote on proposed
installation of signage
SRA Decision
At its meeting on November 17, 2015 the SRA voted unanimously to approve a
proposed free-standing blade sign at 148 Washington Street (The Merchant), as
resented.
Recommendation
At its meeting on October 28, 2015 the Design Review Board voted unanimously (6-
0) to recommend approval of the proposed installation of a free-standing sign on the
existing sign post at 148 Washington Street (The Merchant).
Proposal
The applicant requests to hang a 40" x 30" (8.33 sq/ft) wooden blade sign from an
existing free-standing wooden sign post located at the lower left-hand edge of the
property (when facing the property). A 1.35 sq/ft "no vacancy" or "vacancy" sign will
be hung directly below the primary sign.
Staff Comment
The proposed sign is compliant with the City's sign ordinance.
