DRB RECOMMENDATION: At their meeting on April 25, 2007, the DRB recommended approval of the proposed signage with the condition that visible damage under existing signs will be repaired in a manner consistent with the historic nature of the building, such that no previous installation holes in the facade are noticeable. PROPOSAL: The proposal includes the installation of three signs at 125 Washington Street. The proposed signs will replace three existing Eastern Bank signs approved by the SRA in 1994. The proposed sign is 5.75" by 30"with a 5"in diameter bead hung from the bottom of the sign. The sign will be carved wood, painted blue with a red border and gold leaf lettering.
