The proposal now includes the following: 1.) A window decal on the door that will be 16" x 22.25" 2.) Two window decals running along the center of the middle storefront window a. One will be 13.25" x 81.25" b. The other will be 5.5" x 75.25" 3.) A mug logo decal on in the center of the side window at 32"x44.5" 4.) A 3'X2' lighted projection in front of the door to be shown on the sidewalk at night (not included in signage 5.) A 2' x SA-Frame with wood frame and chalkboard Com lies? Salem ® Redevelopment Authority DRB Recommendation At its meeting on July 23, 2014, the DRB voted 5-0 to recommend approval of the proposed signage at 122 Washington Street (The Ugly Mug Diner), conditional upon the following: • Only a mug logo should be used for the door window sign • The middle window signage should be centered and the mug logos should be removed • The side window should be a centered mug logo Staff Comment for August 13, 2014 SRA Meeting The applicant has complied with all conditions set forth in the DRB recommendation and all signage complies with the City's sign ordinance. Proposal for July 23 DRB Meeting The applicant proposes the following signs: 6.) A three dimensional 2.5' x 2.5' blade sign in the shape of a mug —each side to have one of the "Ugly Mug" logo faces. It will be black and white and made of plastic. The applicant would like to have steam coming out of the cup, if possible. 7.) A window decal on the door that will be 16" x 22.5" 8.) A window decal running along the top of the front window (13.25" x 101.25") 9.) A window decal running along the bottom of the front window (5.5" x 80.25") 10.) The same decal arrangement as the door centered toward the bottom of the side window (16" x 22.25") 11.) A 2' x TA-Frame with wood frame and chalkboard The applicant would also like to project a lighted image of their logo onto the sidewalk at night. It would be a Tx 2' image and will not be considered in the total of signage. Finally, the applicant intends to pain the storefront black and white (a fresh coat of white where it is currently white, and black where it is currently green).
