Dear Sir:
Complaints have been received by this department relative to 1119 Skerry
Street in Salem, (a parcel of land containing what appears to be a two-
family dwelling and land surrounding ,the same.
According to our City Assessor, this property has been taken over by the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The lot (adjacent to the house) has abandoned, unregistered motor vehicles,
miscellaneous other debris and is overgrown with weeds, trees, shrubs, etc.
All of the above constitute fire, health and safety hazards, especially
to the children of the Carlton Grade School located directly across the
street.
We would appreciate your assistance in taking corrective action to remove
these hazards, as well as securing the building (if vacant) . It was also
noted that the second means of egress is blocked by an appliance and there
are no back stairs.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Very truly yours,
FOR E BOARD OF HEALTH
