SRA Decision At its meeting on June 11, 2014, the SRA voted 4-0 to approve a May 28,2014 DRB recommendation to approve the installation of two black, domed awnings with "Colonial Hall" logo (one on Washington Street and one on Essex Street), as well as the addition of text on the rims of three existing Washington Street awnings reading "Rockafellas" at 227-231 Essex Street (Rockafellas). DRB Recommendation On May 28, 2014 the DRB voted 6-0 in favor of recommending for approval the proposal to install two new awnings as proposed on Essex and Washington Street facades, as well as to add new text as proposed on three existing awnings on the Washington Street facade at 227-231 Essex Street (Rockafellas). Proposal for May 28 DRB Meeting The applicant currently has three black awnings with no text running along the fagade of its building along Washington Street. The applicant would like to add two additional awnings (one on Washington Street above the entrance at the far right, and one on Essex Street at the entrance in the rear corner of the building). We are not responsible for damage to any structure to which the awning is installed or attached, or to property or items located above, below or near the awning.
