Recommendation At its regular meeting on May 25, 2016 the DRB voted unanimously to recommend approval of the proposed installation of signage at 221 Essex Street as submitted. Proposal The applicant proposes to install a 30" x 23" blade sign above the storefront entrance. The sign would be made of HDU foam and hang from an existing black metal bracket as shown in the enclosed materials. They will also red raised plastic letters spelling the words "Masquerade," (12" x 84") "Gifts," (12" x 44"and "Masks" (12" x 44") on in the locations noted in the packet. Staff Comments This proposal complies with the City of Salem's Sign Ordinance and Commercial Design Guidelines. That said, there are some inconsistencies in terms of numbers shown on the application form. The above numbers are representative of the intended dimensions.
