building sign and a-frame sign
SRA Decision
At its meeting on May 13, 2015 the Salem Redevelopment Authority voted
unanimously to approve the proposed signage at 186 Essex Street, Unit #2
(Village Silversmith as recommended by the DRB.
Recommendation
At its meeting on April 22, 2015 the Design Review Board voted unanimously (6-0) to
recommend approval of the proposed building and a-frame sign at 186 Essex Street,
Unit#2 (Village Silversmith).
Proposal
The applicant proposes to erect a 24.44 sq/ft aluminum backed sign along the face of
an existing aluminum awning at the storefront location, as shown in the enclosed
materials.
Additionally, the applicants seeks approval to place an a-frame sign outside its
storefront. A catalogue cut of the proposed a-frame sign is enclosed; it will be a
black wood framed chalkboard. The applicant plans to have a fixed logo placed atop
the sign.
