Recommendation At its meeting on May 27, 2015 the Design Review Board voted unanimously (5-0) in favor of recommending the applicant's proposal for signage at 45 Lafayette Street (The Cheese Shop of Salem), contingent upon the applicant increasing the top and bottom margins of the blade sign slightly, and slightly lowering the line of text on the building sign. Proposal The applicant proposes to erect two signs at this location: 1. A 2" x 24" (30 square feet) building sign made of aluminum mounted within an existing sign band above the storefront. 2.A 36" x 24" right angle sign made of PVC mounting within an existing black frame. The enclosed materials show more details, photos, and designs for the proposed signage. Staff Comment This proposed signage is compliant with the City's sign ordinance.
