Code regarding each type of building sign.

Prohibited signs
5 The Salem Sign Ordinance prohibits the following types of signs:
• Signs that move or consist of pennants or streamers that move
• Signs that blink,flash,change color,or light intensity
• Portable A-frame signs
• Signs attached to utility poles,trees,or fences
• Signs advertising a business that has been closed for over 90 days
• Off premise signs(signs located on one business but advertising another business) unless
the sign meets the requirements for billboards outlined in the Sign Ordinance

Attached is a revised sign permit package which includes revised drawings by Batten Brothers
Signs,the vendor.
The information is essentially the same as before but with better drawings and the actual cost of
the work. I have attached a check in the amount of the fee.
Anthony is in Florida but I emailed him the completed forms and he signed the first page of the
form and faxed it back to me. I assume that this is satisfactory.
Please let me know the process of the application. We are a little behind since I was working
with another sign company who turned out to be non-responsive,wasting several weeks in the
proce I would like to get a permit in hand soon so that Family Dollar can release their sign
comp to fabricate the building sign.
