Attached is an application to relocate an existing pylon sign from the property at 142 Canal
Street to the property at 134 Canal Street(the Olive Oil building). The sign was removed during
construction to comply with the limit of 2 nylon signs on the 142 Canal Site.
The sign is currently stored outside on site and we would like to install the sign as indicated to
prevent damage to the sign.

In regard to the pylon sign permit for 134 Canal Street:
The Owner has advised me that there are actually two tenants in the building in addition to the
Owners business,the three tenants are:
California Products
Phi Realty, LLC
144 Canal Street Realty Trust
Each of the tenants is using portions of the building for storage.
This meets the criteria for a pylon sign fifteen in height. Please mark our paperwork with the
information above and let us know if we are approved to install the sign as requested. We will
naturally, reduce the concrete base to accommodate the maximum height.

Re; Exiting Sign Relocation,
Tom,
We have had several discussions regarding the relocation of the existing sign which was removed from
the front of the property at 142 Canal Street. You will recall that it was moved because under the latest
sign regulations we are allowed to have only 2 pylon signs on the property. We propose to re-use the
existing pylon sign which is 14'-6"high and install it on a new foundation raised 6"above finished grade.
In a memo to you dated July 2"d(copy attached)we notified you that there are currently 3 legal tenants in
the building which means that according to the Salem Sign Ordinance the pylon sign is permitted to be
15'-0"in height. We can provide you with leases from the companies listed on the sign;each of which is
a legal entity as identified by the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
We request that you approve the Application as amended on May 20d'so that we can proceed with the
sign installation.
