Munroe Director of Public Property City of Salem 1 Salem Green Public Property Department Salem, MA 01970 RE: LVI ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, INC. PREQUALIFICATION Dear Mr. Munroe: I would like to take this opportunity to introduce LVI Environmental Services, Inc., one of the nation's leading asbestos abatement contractors. I have enclosed, for your review, an introductory package detailing the qualifications and capabilities which enable LVI to perform safe and efficient abatement operations nationwide. The LVI Group Inc. is a New York Stock Exchange listed company that operates firms in the asbestos abatement, interior construction, energy recovery, industrial and electrical products industries. LVI Environmental Services Group Inc., our abatement subsidiary, consists of a national network of abatement companies with headquarters in New York and regional branch offices in 12 additional cities coast to coast. Our projects range broadly in size and in type of facility. Individual projects span the spectrum from removal of asbestos insulation in a single boiler room to demolition and removal of hundreds of thousands of square feet of asbestos from a building's interiors, steel and decking, together with subsequent refireproofing and reconstruction. Often this work is performed in fully-occupied and functioning buildings. Our cost-effectiveness and efficiency, we believe, are reflected in our work for and continuing relationships with a number of the most prudently managed corporations and property managers and owners in the country. AT&T, EXXON, Western Electric, Madison Square Garden, Aetna, Prudential, and Macy's are but a representative sample of clients for whom LVI has implemented asbestos removal assignments. The scope and quality of the capabilities described here are consistent throughout all of the operations within LVI Environmental Services Group Inc., which is headquartered in New York City, with regional and branch offices in Boston, Dallas, Detroit, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, Portland, OR, Rockville, MD (serving the Washington D.C./Baltimore region), San Francisco, Seattle, Spokane, and South Hackensack, New Jersey. I would like to prequalify our company for any asbestos abatement projects. If your organization has a formal contractor prequalification form, please send it to my attention at the enclosed address. In closing, we thank you for taking this time to review our company background and abilities. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your asbestos abatement requirements. We look forward to working with you. Sincerely, Paul Franklin Sales Manager n 3520 THE THOMPSON & LICHTNER COMPANY, INC. PROJECTJNO.
