Dear Laurie :
This office has received complaints of a shed being
built illegally at the above mentioned property. This
office issued a permit to install a 516" x 9 ' shed on June
29 , 1995 , permit #313-95 . We are informed that a larger
shed exists on this property. It is also alleged that you
are using the premises to conduct a business and storing
sculptures on the property.
You are located in a Residential district and cannot
conduct any type of business in this area without applying
to the City of Salem Board of Appeals for a Special Permit
to conduct and store business items .
Please contact this office within fifteen ( 15 ) days
after receipt of this letter to inform us as to your
course of action in this matter. Failure to do so will
result in legal action being taken against you.

Dear Laurie:
This office has conducted an Inspection of ongoing work
being performed on an exterior deck at the side property lo-
cated at 41 Sable Road. Violation #1 ) No proper permit was
issued by this office. #2 ) Threads at stairs must be 9" to
conform to State Building Code. #3 ) Riser are 8 1/2" mimimum,
riser call to be 81/4" . #4 ) Open risers are not permitted.
Please notify this office as to your entent on resolving
this code violation. Failure to do so will result in legal
action being taken.

approximately 5 to 6 weeks ago concerning any building
that was to take place would require a permit . This
office has no files of a permit being issued for such
structure .
