NOTICE OF WAIVER OF PUBLIC HEARrNG
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40C, the Salem
Historical Commission must determine in the case of each. application for
a Certificate of Appropriateness whether the change proposed is sufficiently
substantial to require a formal public hearing.
In any case where the Commission determines that a -formal public
hearing is not necessary, owners of adjacent property must still be notified
of proposed changes in their neighborhood. This notice allows for property
owners to review the application and comment upon it to the Commission.
Enclosed please find the following application:
