Dear Mr. Pelletier:
I have received your application for Non-applicability to replace your asphalt roof with
architectural shingles. I tried to contact you by phone, but apparently you do not have an
answering machine. There are two ways your request can be handled:
The first is to give you a Certificate of Non-applicability approving in kind replacement
(3-tab, not architectural) in black or charcoal grey. I have this Certificate ready for you and can
release it as soon as I get some photographs of the existing conditions from you. This is the
quickest approval as it does not require you to go before the Commission.
The second is to schedule you for the next available agenda before the Commission for
approval for a Certificate of Appropriateness to change to architectural shingles. With your
okay, I would change your application from Non-applicability to Appropriateness. If I hear from
you by July 21", I can schedule it for the August 6' meeting. Photographs of existing conditions
will also be needed for the meeting.
