RE: Revision of Evaluation Procedu-e
Our evaluation procedure for designer selection on this project has been
revised so that applicants will be ranked as to quality. 1The City will then enter
-into fee negotiations with the top-ranked applicant. Before negotiations begin, the
City will set a not-to-exceed figure. If a fee cannot be agreed on with the top-
ranked applicant, the City will begin negotiations with the second-ranked
applicant. Therefore, although we are still requesting that applicants submit a
definition of total compensation necessary to complete the project, the cost of
sevices will be removed from consideration when•we make our ranking of the
applicants.
Because of the tight timetable on this project (all work must be completed by
Monday, April 14, 1986), we plan to select a designer no later than Friday, March
219 1986. Any questions regarding our designer selection process should be
addressed to Gerard Kavanaugh, 744-4580.
