Guy, Clerk of the Commission Date: 5/6/2004 Re: 348 Essex Street-Shutters On an unknown date, it was observed by (a Commission member?) that the shutters on 348 Essex Street are not of appropriate size and not properly hung so as to be operable. It is unknown when this was observed and I only know this much after discovering a note that I had left to myself which I found in my pile of work on May 4, 2004. On May 4,2004, 1 drove by and observed that the shutters were also different in style(arched tops). On May 5, 2004, 1 checked the file and found that there has been no work applied for since 1998,when the house was repainted. It is possible, but unknown, that the shutter changes were undertaken at that time. I also checked the current owners and found that both units have new owners in 2001. This information was provided to the Commission at its meeting of May 5, 2004.
