Dear Ms. Doucette:
It has come to the attention of the Salem Historical Commission that
exterior work is being done to your property at 336 Essex Street. Since
your property is located within an Historic District, all work being done
to the exterior is subject to approval by the Salem Historical Commission.
Please note that violations are subject to fines of up to $500 per day from
the date of violation.
Please cease and desist all exterior work at 336 Essex Street and
contact our staff person, Jane Guy, at the Salem Planning Department
(745-9595, ext. 311) . Ms. Guy will assist you in applying for a
Certificate of Appropriateness, Certificate of Non—Applicability or
Certificate of Hardship from the Salem Historical Commission.
