Having visited and examined the site of the proposed project and being familiar with the
conditions relating to the construction, including the availability of the materials and labor,
Presto Painting Company hereby proposes to furnish all materials,labor, equipment and
supervision required and to complete the work in accordance with this contract document.
CARPENTRY.•
1. Replace missing shingles.
EXTERIOR PAINTING:
1. Scrape and sand all areas where there is loose and chipping paint.
2. Power wash with TSP and bleach to remove dirt,dust,mildew and any remaining loose
paint left after scraping; allow to dry for the remainder of the day.
3. Renail all loose wood with galvanized nails to prevent rusting.
4. Remove all loose caulk with putty knife; then recaulk along seams at inside and outside
comer moldings,along joints between door and window frames.
5. Clean out and prepare the aluminum gutters, seal comers with aluminum sealer to prevent
leakage.
6. Remove the downspouts, clean and replace at job completion.
7. Paint the body and trims two coats; first coat oil based prime and second coat House finish
paint.
8. Paint the decks two coats.
OTHER COMMENTS:
Benjamin Moore or California Exterior paints are recommended to be used.
Exterior light fixtures, if any,will be removed, cleaned and replaced at job completion.
If your yard setback is narrow or limited, it may be wise to obtain a neighbors permission to
place ladders on their property if the need arises.
Care will be taken during the progress of the work;greenery,walkways and all other surfaces
needed will be covered with suitable drop cloths to prevent from any damage or harm occurring
during the work day.
All discarded paint materials; rubbish, cans and rags will be removed from the job site at the end
of each work day.
If you have pets that should not be let out,please make arrangements for them because our crew
may need to leave doors or windows open while paint is drying.
Please tell our supervisor where plants or flowerbeds should be protected. We can not always
identify fragile specimens and will make every effort to work around them. Also allocate a safe
"staging areas"or place where paint supplies and equipment, ladders etc. can be stored during the
work period away from shrubs or plants.
Sufficient time will be allowed between successive coatings to allow proper drying.
Work area will receive a complete inspection at the end of each workday and will be swept and
cleaned daily as found.
All surfaces will be prepared and finished in a manner that meets professional standards.
FULL PROPERTY AND LIABILITY INSURANCE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PRESTO
PAINTING COMPANY INSURED UNDER ASSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA
FULL WORKERS COMPENSATION COVERAGE

If the window sashes are reglazed as necessary and painted two coats then there will be an

Applications shall be filed with the Salem Historical Commission at the
City Clerk's Office, City Hall . They should include or be accompanied
by (a) sufficient data (such as sketches, scale drawings or photographs)
to enable the Commission to visualize changes in exterior appearance
resulting from the proposed work, and (b) in case a building permit will
be required, data or plans in duplicate sufficient to identify to the
Building Inspector the work being certified. Photographs are required
at the hearing in case of demolition or major change. Owners having
professional consultants such as architects , landscape architects or
engineers are urged to have them be present at the hearing. If an appli-
cation is signed by an authorized agent, other than an attorney-at-law, •
or appropriate officer of a corporate owner, it should be accompanied
by written evidence of authority from the owner.
The Commission welcomes advance inquiries for interpretation of the Act
and Ordinance with respect to any project, submitted by letter or by
personal appearance at its meetings the time and place of which can be
