Replacement of wood siding on Summer Street and/or Chestnut Street sides of building to replicate original in
color, material, design and outward appearance. Reuse original materials wherever possible. Thickness and
height of boards and their relation to moldings and window surrounds to be in kind. Any insulation must not
distort depth of siding and relation to windows and corners (eg. use of Tyvek and/or blown-in insulation would
be acceptable). Option to use either straight tongue and groove with square face joint or shiplap flushboard
joint. Material to be Eastern white pine or cedar with finish dimension (thickness) to be 13/16 to 7/8". Width
of each board to be no less than 5 1/4" visible (5 3/4" including tongue). Chairman Oedel has been delegated
to gather measurements and photographic documentation of existing and to approve specific materials and
workmanship to be utilized.
Note: It was a finding that work recently begun on the Summer Street side does not satisfy the requirements
of this Certificate and must therefore be undone and returned to original condition as outlined in this Certificate.
