RE: Septic System for Mr. Warren Williamson
Riverview Street
Dear Mr. Blenkhorn:
At your request I have reviewed the proposed plans prepared by T&M Engineering
Associates, Inc. for the referenced project . After our site investigation and based
on discussions with the design engineer , a revised plan was submitted .
Existing ponding conditions in Riverview Street would be eliminated at the site
boundary by the addition of fill at this low point , regrading and paving of Riverview
Street to the limits necessary to provide natural drainage. A plan indicating limits
of proposed pavement , existing and proposed roadway centerline and typical cross-section
should be submitted before issuance of building permit .
Based on the percolation test and soils information obtained from the test pits,
the percolation of the wastewater should be in a downward direction with little, if anv,
lateral movement above the groundwater elevation indicated . In addition, the construc-
tion of the compacted impermeable clay dike should prevent any surface seepage of un-
treated wastewater from the base of the 'bank along the roadway.
Therefore, it is my opinion that this septic system, as designed , will meet the
standards necessary for the protection of public health and the environment .
The system, including the dike construction , will be inspected by the City Health
Department to insure compliance with proposed design.
very truly yours,
