Staff Comments: The Pickering House property consists of two lots,shown as#18 and#20 Pickering Street on the map above.In addition to the iconic Gothic Revival style Pickering House,the property also includes a wood-frame barn northeast of the house and a beautiful Gothic Revival style fence with cut-out details and finial-capped posts,which extends across the front of the property.Both the barn and fence were constructed in 1841 when the main house was enlarged and updated in the Gothic Revival style. The property's large lot has extensive gardens to the rear and to the west extending to Pickering Street A series of fencing in different styles,materials and heights extend around portions of the lot that comprises#18 Broad Street.
