DESCRIPTION OF WORK PROPOSED:
Removal of chaing link fence. Installation of capped picket fence 4' high from
Hathorne Street on side lot line to the point where it meets the existing wooden
fence which currently bisects the yard and runs from the existing ell of the house
to the current chain link fence. Picket fence to have 1" to 114" spacing between
2�" pickets with standard fence cap (see drawings) . Installation of 5' flatboard
capped fence from point where 4' fence ends, to run to rear lot line to abut
existing rear lot line fence. Good side of fence to face Orne Square. Fence to
have waterboard. Installation of transition post between 4' and 5' fence sections.
Post to be 5V overall, 7" to 71q" square in width with two tier cap as per drawing.
No other visible posts. Fence to be painted trim color of house. See attached
drawings of fence and posts and photos presented.

On Wednesday, April 3, 1991, the Salem Historical Commission
unanimously denied an application for a Certificate of
Appropriateness from Shawn Shea for the property at 15 Hathorne
Street regarding the replacement of garage doors . The Commission
dete--mined that the work is minimally visible from the public way
and therefore could be reviewed under an application for
Certificate of Non-applicability. I attest that this is an
accurate record of the vote taken, not amended or modified in any
way to this date.
