CD24:7 e 31 Ravenna Avenue Salem, MA 01970 April 23, 2001 Thomas St. Pierre Local Building Inspector Building Department One Salem Green Salem, MA 01970 Dear Mr. St. Pierre, Thank you for bringing City of Salem Ordinance 24-21 to our attention. We are making every effort to remove the unregistered Chevrolet Nova from our property and donate it to The Boys and Girls Club who will take it away and use it to support their charitable work in Salem In order for them to take possession of said vehicle, we must have the title to the vehicle in our hands. Unfortunately, the title has been lost. We have applied to the Registry of Motor Vehicles for a duplicate title. As soon as the Registry of Motor Vehicles issues the duplicate title, the Boys and Girls Club will send a tow truck to remove the car. Since the Registry of Motor Vehicles needs 15 days to issue a duplicate title, could we please have a 15-day extension to comply with your order? That will extend the deadline to May 12 by our calculations. If the vehicle can be removed from our property and donated to a good cause any sooner, it will be done immediately, as we are as tired of looking at this automobile as our neighbors are. Sincerely yours, Michael E. Pelletier Anne M. Pelletier cc: Mayor's Office Fire Prevention Councilor O'Leary
